GULFPORT, Fla. — Kathleen F. Allen Gilbert, 73, of Gulfport, Fla., formerly of Mexico, died on Nov. 25, 2010.

She was born on June 27, 1938, to Stuart and Catherine (McLeod) Allen. Kay graduated from Mexico High School in 1956. She worked at Walmart for 12 years. Kay was also a 38-year member of AA, where she was best known to all for “one day at a time” and page No. 449. She was an AA angel to many. She truly will be missed. Her greatest love was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Who could forget her dog, Max.

She is survived by a daughter, Vicky Gilbert and husband, Fred Trujillo, of Colorado; sons, Danny Gilbert of Suffolk, Va., and Glen Gilbert and wife, Becky, of Kennebunk; granddaughters, Kristy Blodgett and Clint Beck, Heather and husband, Mike Stadlbauer and Nicki and Casey Gilbert of Virginia; grandchildren, Eric and Josh Gilbert of Suffolk, Va., Nathan and Corey Gilbert of Kennebunk; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Keara Beck of Colorado, Abby and Zack Stadlbauer of Colorado; brothers, Donald Allen of Florida, and Dave Allen of Livermore; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; a brother, Robert Allen; and two sons, Mark and Randy.
