On May 24, boys from Cub Scout Pack 139 and their families visited Center Hill Cemetery on Center Minot Hill Road in Minot to plant flags for military veterans. When the boys arrived, they had a discussion about respect and citizenship. They discussed what appropriate behavior was in a graveyard and why it was important to respect the people buried there. In particular they discussed the great service and sacrifice veterans have made for citizens and for the country. Each scout was given a few flags and asked to walk through the cemetery reading stones to find military veterans. They planted new flags and replaced old tattered flags.
