ELKHART, Texas — Everett R. Meserve, 83, of Elkhart, Texas, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 6, at his home.
Everett was born Sept. 15, 1927, to Roger and Cynthia Meserve of Gorham. Everett resided in Maine for the majority of his life. He was drafted by the U.S. Army at the end of World War II. Upon returning home, he was employed as a mechanic for years. He started his teaching career at CMVTI as an automotive instructor and a rifle team coach. After his retirement from CMTC, he worked for the Sabattus school system. He completed his working career at Monmouth Academy as their transportation director. Everett was a member of Eastern Star and Auburn Rifle Club.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Meserve, of Elkhart, Texas; his six children, Mary Sleeper, Everett Meserve Jr., Evelyn Meserve, Lorrie Callaway, Marci Ellingwood and Michael Meserve; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and his siblings, Bob Meserve and Betty Pottle.
He was predeceased by his parents; and his brother, Fred Meserve.
