PORTLAND — George Arthur Reynolds, 84, of Minot passed away on Thursday, July 14, at Maine Medical Center.

He was born in Norway, July 21, 1926, the son of Arthur I. Reynolds and Sadie McAllister Reynolds. He graduated from Mechanic Falls High School and faithfully served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II and Korea.

He married Julia Collins on June 14, 1956. He had been a foreman at Wilner Wood Products for 23 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion and the DAV. George also loved to go out to eat.

He is survived by his daughter, Gladys Howard and her fiance, Michael Wolfe; his son, Arthur Reynolds and his wife, Sandra; grandchildren, Rudy Kyllonen and his wife, Jen, Julie Lawrence and her husband, Ken, Rosie Reynolds and Ryan Brown; great-grandchildren, Levi, Brady, Sadie, Rudy, Gage, Nadia and Bella; his brothers, Floyd Reynolds and Richard Beal; and his sisters, Joyce Crane and Karen Hudnall.

He was predeceased by his wife in 1998; a sister, Dot Plummer; and a brother, Bud Reynolds.

His family would like to thank all caregivers at the Maine Veterans’ Home, Stephens Memorial Hospital and Maine Medical Center.
