LEWISTON — Lt. Col (Ret.) and Mrs. Phillip McWhorter of Lewiston are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Nicole Yvette McWhorter of Lexington, Ky., to Mario Alma Fugal of Lexington, Ky., son of Jens and Annette Fugal of Frankfort, Ky.

Miss McWhorter received a bachelor’s degree in animal life science and nutrition from Cornell University and a master’s degree in clinical nutrition from NYU. She is employed at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Ky.

Mr. Fugal is attending the University of Kentucky, majoring in medical physics.

The wedding will be held on July 29 in Louisville, Ky., at the Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
