PORTLAND — Isabella H. Lind, 101, a longtime resident of Mechanic Falls passed away on Friday, July 15.

She was born in New Richmond, Quebec, April 21, 1910, the daughter of George and Emma Jane Tozier Hardy. She attended schools in Canada, and had been a homemaker all of her life.

She married Arthur E. Lind on March 31, 1945. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, cribbage and spending time with her family and friends. She was a wonderful person who put others before herself.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Jessica Bois and her husband, Michael, of Scarborough; two great-grandchildren, Ryleigh and Joshua, both of Scarborough; and many relatives in Canada.

She was predeceased by her husband in 1989; and her daughter, Joanne Lind Holt in 2010.
