AUBURN — Harriet Arsenault White, 79, died Saturday, July 23, at the Hospice House with her loving family by her side.
A resident of Mexico most of her life, she resided on Meadow Street.
She was born in Mexico on Sept. 21, 1931, the daughter of Arthur and Gertrude Stilphen Henry Sr., and graduated from Mexico High School Class of 1950.
She was a member and held many offices in the Eastern Star including Worthy Matron. She served as a den mother for the Mexico Cub Scouts when her boys were young. She was an avid bowler at Oxford Lanes Couples League on Friday nights. She was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Rumford. After her family was grown, she worked at Maddy’s Pizza in Mexico for a number of years.
She was married on June 3, 1952, in Rumford to Reginald W. Arsenault, who died in Mexico on Aug. 25, 2002, after having celebrated 50 years. She was married Oct. 1, 2003, in Mexico to John C. White of Mexico, who survives.
Other survivors include children, Reginald Arsenault Jr. and wife Louise, Gregory Arsenault and wife Norma, John Arsenault and wife Carrie, all of Mexico, Mark Arsenault and wife Rachel of Winthrop and Woodrow Arsenault and wife Cyndi of Summerville, S.C.; grandchildren, Reggie Arsenault III and Beth Arsenault of Denver, Colo., Cory Arsenault and wife Bobbi and Casey Arsenault of Mexico, Rose Arsenault of Canton, Samantha Gallant and husband Brady of Mexico, Eric Bordeau and Daniel Bordeau of Rumford, Kristin Arsenault of Mexico, Tyler Arsenault and Alyssa Arsenault of Winthrop, Eric Arsenault and Tara Didelot and husband Matthew of Summerville, S.C.; two great-granddaughters, Emma Gallant and Mattie Didelot; brother, Arthur Henry Jr. and wife Laura of Winthrop; special cousin, who was like a sister, Barbara Vroom of Camden; special niece, Cheryl Tibbetts and husband Henry of Kennebunk; stepchildren, Richard White and wife Mariha and John White and friend Denise, all of Old Orchard Beach, Randall White and wife Susan of Wichita, Kan., Allan White and wife Patti of Levant, Diane LeBlanc of South Portland; step-grandchildren, Chelsea, Andrew, Jeffrey, and Sarah White, Erine Grant and Christina Label; brother-in-law, Thomas Arsenault and wife Madeline of Mexico; sisters-in-law, Carol Johnson of Kennebunk, Charlene Greene and husband Nathan of Fla., Donna White of Kennebunk, Janet Ellsworth of Augusta, Ga.; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, John Henry.
