Participants of Emily’s Run, the second of the Greater L-A 5K Triple Crown race series, take off from the starting line at Edward Little High School on Sunday morning. The annual memorial race and fundraiser, named after Emily Fletcher, an EL graduate who died in a car accident, attracted a record 667 registrants. Chris Harmon, 23, of Scarborough, won the race with a time of 15:57.

Fletcher spent the moment of silence thinking of his sister and all the people who came to the race, which raises funds for a pair of college scholarships and the Auburn Public Library, because of her, he said.
