LIVERMORE FALLS — The town will receive a donation of $2,597.40 to buy playground equipment for smaller children to be installed at the recreation field, Town Manager Kristal Flagg said Friday.
Selectmen voted July 18 to accept the donation for the equipment.
The equipment will include a slide, a swing, a place to climb and a playhouse, Flagg said.
The donor wishes to remain anonymous, she said.
“The Board of Selectmen and the town would like to express their appreciation for such a donation,” Flagg said. “During these challenging times we are in, this generosity will be put to great use at our recreational field. Sometime during August we hope to get volunteers to help erect the structure. With gratitude we give many thanks.”
The town will also be seeking donations for a ton of rubber mulch for ground cover, she said.
