WATERFORD — The 8th annual Music Sunday will be held at 9:30 a.m. July 31 at the Waterford Congregational Church at the foot of Plummer Hill Road.

This joyous mostly-music service of worship and celebration has become a favorite summer event for the church and the wider Waterford community and will be followed by open houses and special exhibits at the Waterford Historical Society’s Old Town House and Mary Gage Rice Museum and at the Waterford Library.

There will also be a concert on the Town Common by the Mahoosic Community Band at noon.

Music Sunday No. 8 will feature a mixed voices choir of 35 singers led by regular choir director Jane Morse and two guest conductors. Julia Adams of the Portland String Quartet will play her viola and join accompanist Kay Leslie on the steel drums. The women’s a cappella quartet “The Delites” will sing two numbers, and other surprises await. All are welcome.
