AUBURN — The Edward Little High School chapter of the National Honor inducted 46 new members at its 2011 induction ceremony, which was held on May 25 in the high school gymnasium.

Membership in the National Honor Society is one of the highest honors that can be awarded to a high school student. Students who are selected for membership must excel in the areas of leadership, service, character and scholarship, have a cumulative average of at least 90.0, and participate in both school and community activities.

The ceremony was moderated by chapter president and ELHS senior Alexander Smith. Addressing the inductees about the history and four pillars of the National Honor Society were current members Kelsey Philbrick, Nathan Fairchild, Hannah Martin, Brianna Robbins, Benjamin Armstrong and Emily Grund. Musical performances were provided by members Alexander Smith, Nathan Fairchild, Michael Weber and inductee Melissa Brown. The inductees were addressed by ELHS principal James Miller and formally welcomed into membership by adviser and ELHS teacher Maureen Edgerton.

The inductees include members of the class of 2011 Melissa Brown, Victoria Cusson, Katie Delorme, Jadah Fowler, Kayla Grant, Tiffany Helsel, Megan Howes, Zachary Olstein, Takashi Rannucci and Jennifer Rioux. Inductees from the class of 2012 are Sabrina Alaimo, Hayley Barton, Audrey Bennett, Emma Bilodeau, Taylor Brackett, Victoria Bunker, Phoebe Chamberlin, Christopher Cloutier, Shane Cloutier, Tori Couture, Hannah Fournier, Ashley DeBlois, Joshua Delong, Niyati Desai, Connor Dumont, Abigail Dunn, Duncan Gelder, Emily Hartnett, Brenda Jimenez, Travis Landry, Abigail Lauze, Samantha Laverdure, Jaclyn Masters, MaryKate Masters, Mallory Morneau, Jocelyn Murphy, Kelly Philbrook, Jordan Richmond, Garrett Sanborn, Matthew Shen, Stephanie Sommerville, Elizabeth Stauffer, Jordan Tate, Sebastian Taylor, Ian Therriault and Madison Williamson.
