OQUOSSOC — Mac Dudley, NAA level II archery instructor and coach and sole proprietor of Mountain High Backcountry Adventures Guide Service, will offer her Olympic-style archery lessons for youth at the Rangeley Region Guides & Sportsmen’s Club from Wednesday, Aug. 3, through Friday, Aug. 5. Classes will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. each day at the RRG&S clubhouse on Old Skiway Road.

The three two-hour lesson program is free to youth ages nine years and up. All equipment is provided and preregistration is required. Each class builds on the next and by the end of the last day, participants will be archery safety experts, they will know how to shoot Olympic style and they will be able to practice their shooting skills safely on their own. This is a wonderful opportunity for kids as the lessons elsewhere could cost as much as $400 for the basics.

Mac also offers private lessons for both Olympic and bowhunting archery to youth and adults for a nominal fee. An informal Sunday shoot will be available if there is interest. During the Sunday shoot, Mac will offer advice on shooting form at the RRG&S Club’s target area and 3-D range. For more information about any of these classes contact Mac at 864-5919 or [email protected].
