Harvest for Hunger volunteers distributed free, locally grown produce, including squash, cucumbers, broccoli and peas, on River Street in Rumford on Tuesday evening. The distribution, sponsored by the River Valley Healthy Communities Coalition and the University of Maine Extension, is intended to combat hunger and promote a healthy diet. It’s held every Tuesday evening in front of the RVHCC office on River Street.
