Church auction
BETHEL — The West Parish Congregational Church on Church Street will hold an auction at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6. Preview of the items will be held at 6:30 p.m. Items will include homemade candy and desserts, art, service items, household items and antiques. Summer services
MINOT — The Minot Center Congregational Church, at the corner of Center Minot Hill and Jackson Hill roads, will hold its annual summer services in August beginning Aug. 7.
Services are at 9 a.m. with Pastor Frances Lodge presiding. All denominations are welcome.

Car show
OXFORD — Uptown Cruizahs 3rd annual Car Show will take place Sunday, Aug. 7, at New Balance Factory Store, Route 26. This is a rain or shine event.
The show will feature 23 classes with three awards in each class and one Best of Show class and award. Admission is $5 per car with registration from 7:30 to 11 a.m. The awards ceremony will begin at 2 p.m.
There will be food, fun and door prizes all day and music will be provided by Red Wing. Also included will be street rod inspections, 50/5 raffle and a Chinese auction. Proceeds will benefit local charities. For more information call Les Wing at 890-0870 or Dan Tripp at 743-8073.
Food pantry
OTISFIELD — The Food Pantry will be open from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, at Spurrs Corner Church, Route 121. The pantry is open the first and third Tuesdays of each month from 10 a.m. to noon, and the second Monday evening of each month from 5 to 7 p.m. For more information, call 583-4780 or 627-4329.
Blood drive
OXFORD HILLS – The annual Oxford Hills community blood drive will take place from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15, at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School in the air-conditioned cafeteria. Donors can enter the high school through the double doors that are located at the bus loop entrance on the side of the building. Proof of identity is required at the time of registration.
Appointments are strongly recommended to shorten the waiting time, but walk-ins are also welcome. To schedule an appointment call Rosalie at 743-7388 or call the Red Cross at 800-GIVE-LIFE. Summer visitors are invited to donate.
