LEWISTON — Aldeo A. Dumond, 83, a resident of Jack Court in Lewiston died Sunday morning at the Marshwood healthcare facility, following a long illness, with his loving family by his side.
He was born in St. Agatha June 22, 1928, the son of Anthime and Yvonne Leclair Dumond. He grew up in St. Agatha and moved to Lewiston at a young age, then met his future wife, the former Therese Turcotte, whom he married on Aug. 20, 1949. Together they raised two sons, Robert and Michael.
He was a member of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul of the Prince of Peace Parish and had been employed many years at Pike Industries, retiring in 1988. He enjoyed canoeing and fishing, as well as being a lucky winner at the casinos.
Survivors include two sons, Robert and his wife, Julie, of Lewiston, and Michael and his wife, Debbie, of Pensacola, Fla.; one brother, Richard and his wife, Jean, of Bowling Green, Ky.; and two sisters, Louise Ouellette of St. Agatha and Germaine Morin and her husband, Ed, of Hebron, Conn.; also surviving are five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Therese, in 2004; as well as two brothers and one sister.
