Tuesday supper

WATERFORD — A baked bean supper will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at the North Waterford Congregational Church. It will include a variety of homemade casseroles, salads and other dishes as well as homemade pies.

The church is located on Five Kezars Road, off Routes 35 and 37, opposite Melby’s Market. Public suppers will be held every other Tuesday during August.

Clothing center

HARTFORD — Hartford Community Church Clothing Center will be open from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturdays, Aug. 6 and 20. The center is located on Church Street, opposite the Hartford Community Church.

Pig/turkey roast

HARRISON — An old-fashioned pig and turkey roast and baked bean supper will be served at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Back to the Past events at Scribner’s Mill, Scribner’s Mill Road. The cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under, and includes strawberry shortcake for dessert. For more information, call 583-6455.

Seniors picnic

HANOVER — The Bethel Senior Citizens Club will meet for a picnic at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, at Stony Brook Campground, Route 2. Members will bring a salad or dessert to share.
