The Public Theatre celebrated its 20th anniversary of bringing professional theatre to Lewiston/Auburn with a joyous “Curtain Call Ball,” held on June 4 at the Bates Mill Centre Court. More than 100 guests joined the board of directors and staff of The Public Theatre for this elegant and successful event. The evening included celebrity host Susan Poulin as the popular Maine character Ida LeClair, spreading her own brand of humor as she greeted each guest on the “Plaid Carpet.” Guests danced the night away to the music of the Tony Boffa Band and enjoyed food from Davinci’s Eatery. Over the years, The Public Theatre has built its growth on the foundation of partnerships and this event was an opportunity to expand and thank their partners in the community.
