DIXFIELD — The number of children participating in Ludden Memorial Library’s children’s reading program almost doubled this summer.
“Our summer reading program was very successful this year,” said Margaret “Peggy” Malley, head librarian. “We had 61 in this summer’s reading program, up from the 31 enrolled in last year’s program.”
The program ended July 19 with a party, which included a storyteller, cake and punch.
