Scholarship meal
WALES – Lakeside Chapter 60, Order of the Eastern Star, will join with Pine Cone and Pioneer Chapter members for an ESTARL potluck supper at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9.
Lakeside will provide the main dishes while members from Pine Cone will bring desserts and Pioneer, salads. Supper is $3 and the proceeds will be split among the three chapters for the Eastern Star Training and Religious Leadership Scholarship Fund. The scholarship is open to qualifying second-year students in the religious field.

The meeting in the Masonic building, 322 Centre Road, will honor veterans and the stations of associate matron and associate patron. Carolyn R. “Kelly” Landry, associate grand matron, and Ralph H. Trafton, associate grand patron, have accepted the invitation.
Women will be in colored gowns and men in dark suits or tuxes. All members of the Eastern Star are welcome.

NEW GLOUCESTER — Sabbathday Lake Grange will hold a craft fair and sale from 8 a.m. t0 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20. Members are looking for anyone interested in renting a table. The cost is $10 for a six-foot table.

LEWISTON — The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club met Aug. 1 in the Multi-Purpose Center, Birch Street.
Finishing first in flight A were Mike Quinn and Luke Merry; second, David Lock and Les Buzzell; third, Cynthia Bonsey and Sue Kaluzynski, who also were first in flight B; second in flight B, Judy Abromson and Helen Little; third, Roger Labbe and Larry Fortier.
