ASHLAND, Ohio — Christopher J. Bishop, 47, of Galena, Ohio, died tragically in a motorcycle accident in Ashland, Ohio, on July 24.

He was born at Quonset Point, R.I., Jan. 25, 1964, to Janet (Adams) and Larry Bishop. He attended schools in Pennsylvania, and Lisbon and graduated from Shawneetown, Ill., high school in 1983. He went on to attend and graduate from ITT in Evansville and Indianapolis, Ind. In 1989, he married Rita Pritchett of Ridgway, Ill., and they had three children.

Bishop was employed at ATS-Ohio as a lead technician in the robotics division.

He is survived by his wife, Rita; their daughter, Rachel; son, Kyle; his parents, Janet and Raymond Leblond of Lewiston and Larry and Lela Bishop of Shawneetown, Ill.; his brothers, Aaron of Vero Beach, Fla., and Brett and (Gayla Schalk) of Carmi, Ill.; his sister, Lari and (Alex Head) of Austin, Texas; his stepbrother, Bryan and (Barbie) Dietz; his wife’s parents, Mary and Dean Pritchett; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Hood and Renee Knox; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his son, Ryan. His funeral was held in Ridgway, Ill., July 29. He is interred in Elmwood Cemetery in Equality, Ill.
