Nearly 50 people collected free, fresh vegetables at the River Valley Healthy Communities Coalition in Rumford on Tuesday evening. The event is held every Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the RVHCC office on River Street as part of the Maine Harvest for Hunger program. It was established and administered by the RVHCC and the University of Maine Extension to alleviate hunger and encourage a healthy diet.
