LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Aldeo Dumond was celebrated by the Rev. Maurice Morin Wednesday at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul of the Prince of Peace Parish. During Mass, Aldeo’s sister-in-law Sister Renee Turcotte proclaimed the the first scripture reading and recited the prayer of the faithful. The offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Aldeo’s nieces, Jan Fox and Anita Morin. Following a procession to St. Peter’s Cemetery, Father Morin recited committal prayers, and before the conclusion of prayers, Aldeo’s son, Robert Dumond shared words of remembrance about his father and his mother and how happy they must be to be together again. Pallbearers were Peter Dumond Sr., Peter Dumond Jr., Philip and Kyle Dumond as well as James Turcotte. Arrangements by the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home.
