Community lunch

FARMINGTON — Old South Congregational Church will serve its monthly free community luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13. The menu for includes citrus chicken, potato salad, peas and brownies.

Delivery service will be available in the Farmington area. Call the church office at 778-0424 during the week or the church kitchen at 778-4438 on the morning of the luncheon for delivery.

KC supper

JAY — The Knights of Columbus will hold a free supper from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13. Doors will open at noon for games and socializing. Menu will be pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, corn on the cob, salads and dessert.

All are welcome. Donations are welcome but not necessary. Those who need an elevator should go to the back door and hold the buzzer until someone opens the door.

Summer sale

READFIELD — The Readfield Community Library will hold its annual book sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at the Readfield Fire Station. Volunteers have been organizing a large selection of books for children and adults. Proceeds will assist the library’s operations.
