FARMINGTON — Peter L. Judkins, president and CEO of Franklin Savings Bank, announced recently that Timothy J. Thompson has been promoted to senior vice president, chief financial officer at Franklin Savings Bank.
Thompson has been a senior vice president, treasurer and clerk at Franklin Savings Bank since 2008 and has been performing the duties of the chief financial officer since that time, but has been doing so under the title of treasurer.
In addition to these financial responsibilities, Thompson has also served the bank in the areas of operations and information technology, all of which he continues to do along with his financial responsibilities.
Thompson was raised in Kingfield and graduated from Mt. Abram High School. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Maine and a master’s degree in business administration from Thomas College. He is also a graduate of the National School of Banking. Thompson has worked in the banking industry for 18 years, including the past 11 years at Franklin Savings Bank.
Thompson, of Farmington, is a trustee for the Pierce House and the treasurer for the Mt. Blue High School Legacy Campaign. He is also active with the Maine Bankers Association.
