AUBURN — All are invited to dress in a favorite ’50s costumes and attend the sixth annual DJ Sock Hop from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Tabor’s Lakeside Driving Range and Snack Bar. Proceeds will benefit the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society.
The event is being sponsored by friends of GAHS and Tabors. Music will be provided by Music Reflections with DJ Mark Peillet and Sheena, who will be on hand to spin tunes from the ’50s and ’60s. Special requests will be the specialty of the evening.
There will be vintage cars on display and classic car buffs are invited to bring their cars by at 5:30 p.m.
Prizes will be awarded for the best ’50s costumes, and there will be dance contests and other special events, including a 50/50 raffle. The hop is free and donations will go to the humane society.
