LIVERMORE FALLS — Police are investigating the burglary of a downtown jewelry store.
Foss Jewelry, on the corner of Main and Church streets, was broken into sometime early Tuesday morning according to local police.
The suspect or suspects threw something through the glass front door and then smashed into a display case inside the store, Sgt. Steve Allen said.
The stores burglary alarm went off and was reported to police by the security company that monitors it, Allen said.
Police said some items were stolen from the store but are not releasing the details of what was taken as their investigation continues, Allen said.
Livermore Falls officer Steve Wilkinson and Jay officer Russell Adams responded to the initial call Tuesday morning.
