ROCKLAND — Artist Jamie Wyeth will be signing copies of a children’s book he illustrated at a book launch and signing at the Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland.

Wyeth is the son of the great American painter Andrew Wyeth and grandson of classic novel illustrator N.C. Wyeth. He spends his summers in Maine and his works are on display at the museum’s Wyeth Center.

From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, he and writer Barbara Walsh will be signing copies of “Sammy in the Sky,” a newly released book about a loyal and loving hound dog. Walsh wrote the book and Wyeth illustrated it with his watercolors.

It is the third book that Wyeth has illustrated.
