AUBURN — Mary Kathleen Fotter, 83, passed away peacefully July 7, surrounded by her sons.
Mary was born in Rangeley, Oct. 8, 1927, the daughter of Francis G. Pillsbury and Estelle Harden Pillsbury. She graduated from Rangeley High School in 1945. On Oct. 13, 1946, Mary married her sweetheart, Roland “Sonny” E. Fotter Jr.
They made their home in Stratton, where Mary was a homemaker and assisted her husband as the bookkeeper for their family’s construction and real estate development businesses for 30 years.
She is survived by her children, Richard E. Fotter of Stratton and Danny L. Fotter of Francestown, N.H.; grandsons, Ryan E. Fotter of Boston, Mass., and Dylan A. Fotter and Eric L. Fotter, both of Francestown, N.H.; her sister, June Aquilino of Sandown, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Roland “Sonny” E. Fotter and her parents, Francis and Estelle Pillsbury predeceased her.
Her grandchildren knew her as “NANA FOFANA” and enjoyed visiting her, and eating her famous “salmon pea wiggle.”
