ANSON — David A. McCleary, 61, of South Strong Road, Farmington, died Aug. 11, at his camp in Anson of natural causes.

He was born July 2, 1950, in Farmington, the son of Fred Arthur and Maxine Maki McCleary. He was a graduate of Mt. Blue High School and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked in the parts department at Morton Motor Co., then as a truck driver for Forster Manufacturing in Strong. In 1985, he went to work for G.L. Dunphy and Sons in North Anson; in 1995, he was employed by the Vic Firth Co. in Newport.

In 1975, David married Kathy Collins of Farmington, and they had a daughter, Kim. On April 7, 1995, he married Ann LeJoy Richards of Anson.

He is survived by his wife, Ann, of Farmington; a daughter, Kim M. McCleary of Ithaca, N.Y.; sisters, Kathleen Kurosman and her husband, Nusret, of Wappingers Falls, N.Y., and their two children, Beldan Rackliffe and her husband, David, and Cem Kurosman and his wife, Jenni, and Elizabeth McCleary of Boston, Mass.; an uncle, Taisto Maki, of Embden; a sister-in-law, Susan L. LeJoy, of Starks; and a cousin, Gary Hall and his wife, Lois, of Farmington.
