NORWAY – The friends and members of the Second Congregational Church, U.C.C., on Main Street, are busy sorting, cleaning and pricing items for their 11th annual Tent-N-Treasures Yard Sale, which will be held Saturday, Aug. 27.

According to Keith Ladner, chairperson of the board of trustees, “We are often imitated, but never duplicated. If you haven’t been before, don’t miss it. It is a huge event!

“We have it all; from books to baby stuff, from tractors to trinkets,” he continued. “All items are very reasonably priced, clean and in working order. Year after year, people line the sidewalks waiting for the 7:30 a.m. opening bell.”

This year is expected to be the biggest sale to date, with the addition of fresh produce, baked beans, pies and baked goods.

The sale, under six tents, will fill the entire church parking lot. Setup begins early Friday morning, Aug. 26, and will last late into Friday night. Youth group members and advisers spend the night under the tents with all the treasures.

There will be no “early birds” or “previews” allowed before the sale, which runs from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Coffee and donuts will be for sale for eager shoppers at 6:30 a.m.

Women’s fellowship will have a food table, which will include homemade pies, beans and other baked goods.

Donated items may be left in the parsonage barn or contact the church office at 743-2290. Pick up service is available for large items. Revenue from the  sale will again be used to support the many missions of the Second Congregational Church.
