LEWISTON — Richard “Deek” Ducharme, 63, of Lewiston died unexpectedly on Saturday, Aug. 13, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Lewiston, Nov. 23, 1947, the son of the late Roger and Delores (Maheux) Ducharme. Deek was a mason by trade working for the Ducharme Masonry family and also for Charles Roberts Masonry. His love in life was spending time with his grandchildren and also his two dogs “Peanut” and “Sally.” He enjoyed watching the New England Patriots and the Boston Celtics.
He is survived by his wife, the former Monique “Nicki” Doucette, of Lewiston; two sons, Jason Ducharme of Lewiston and Jason Lebel and his fiance, Michelle Carlin, of Auburn; three daughters, Angie Ducharme of Auburn, Heather Ducharme of Auburn and Wendy Caron and her husband, Scott, of Georgia; eight grandchildren, Abby and Ryan Lebel, Derek and Mason Ducharme, Brady and Jonathyn Tilton and Armand and Meridian Caron; a sister, Judy Doucette of Auburn; and a nephew, Christopher Doucette.
