Mike Rackliffe, of Peru, found three baby squirrels in a downed tree while cutting lumber on a woodlot in Canton on Friday. The squirrels were taken to the Animal Emergency Clinic of Mid-Maine in Lewiston were they will be cared for until they reach 14 weeks of age. They will then be released back into the wild.
