Stephens Memorial Hospital will hold a child safety seat inspection from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at the Norway Fire Department. Certified child passenger safety technicians will be available to provide free hands-on inspections. It is not necessary for the child to be present but if possible it is best to bring them. Child care will be available as needed. Stephens Memorial Hospital is also one of several distribution sites for car seats in the state of Maine, authorized to provide car seats and boosters to families at no cost if they meet the state financial requirements.
