FARMINGTON — Marie Angela White, 79, a lifelong resident of Jay, died Wednesday, Aug. 17, at Franklin Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 7, 1932, in Jay, the daughter of Joseph and Quintina (Grimaldi) Nemi. She was a graduate of Jay High School.

On June 15, 1957, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, she married her husband of 54 years, George White of Jay. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay; and a member of the Daughters of Isabella.

Marie devoted her lifetime to her family that she loved caring for. She loved to cook and enjoyed watching her grandchildren at their sporting events. She loved spending time at her family camp on Bear Pond entertaining family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, George White; her son, Bill White and his wife, Krista, of Livermore; her grandchildren, Kyla, Chandler and Elizabeth White; a very special lifelong friend, Bernice DiSotto; a loving sister-in-law, Sally Nemi; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Joe Nemi; and sister, Carmen Murphy.
