LIVERMORE FALLS — A woman and her child were uninjured early Wednesday when three masked-gunmen walked into their unlocked, Baldwin Street apartment, and asked for the woman’s ex-boyfriend before demanding drugs, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said.

When the woman told the men the ex-boyfriend no longer lived there and she didn’t have any drugs, they left, Steward said.

The woman’s 6-year-old child was sleeping in another room, he said.

The home invasion was reported at about 2:48 a.m., Stewart said.

Livermore Falls police officer Vern Stevens was assisted at the scene by Jay officer Nick Gulliver and Wilton officer Matthew Billian.

It is the second home invasion reported in town since late June when a grandmother in East Livermore reported being pistol-whipped by one of two masked-men who entered her home. The woman’s granddaughter who was sleeping in another room was also unharmed.

That woman, who fought back, required stitches to her forehead because of a gash, and had bruises over her body. That incident also remains under investigation.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Livermore Falls Police Department at 897-3424.
