TOPSHAM — The American Cancer Society invites former and current breast cancer patients, those who have lost a loved one to the disease, families, businesses, faith-based and civic organizations, and anyone interested in creating a world with more birthdays and less breast cancer to attend the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Team Captain Kickoff Celebration from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, at the Topsham Library, 45 Foreside Road.
Attendees will pick up their new 2011 team captain materials, and learn how to form a team and participate in the Making Strides walk, scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 16, at the Town Mall Gazebo in Brunswick. Light refreshments and door prizes will be offered, as well as a special gift for each team captain.
