JAY — A local man was charged Tuesday following a police investigation into a reported sex offense.
Joshua K. Welch, 20, of Jay, was charged with two counts of unlawful sexual contact, Jay Detective Richard Caton IV said.
The case involves two children under age 14 in Franklin County.
Welch was released from Franklin County jail on Tuesday on $1,500 cash bail.
He is scheduled to appear in a Farmington court on Oct. 28.
