TURNER — Margaret Elizabeth Wing, 54, of Auburn, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Aug. 17, as a result of a motorcycle accident in Turner.
She was born in Farmington, Nov. 26, 1956, a daughter of Francis and Marion (Wheeler) Filaroska.
Margaret was a graduate of Lisbon High School, Class of 1974. She was a dedicated worker with the mentally ill, and was an advocate for her clients and putting their needs above all. Margaret was one thesis paper away of completing her bachelor’s degree in Social Work through the University of Maine, Augusta.
She enjoyed motorcycling, hiking, gardening and most of all spending time with her granddaughter, Maya. Margaret was the founding member of “Hogsisters” motorcycle club.
She is survived by her mother, Marion of Houston, Texas; her two daughters, Stacey Wing and her companion, Leo Files, of Hebron and Amanda Ali and her husband, Eddie, of Hebron; her granddaughter, Maya Chappell of Hebron; her siblings, John Filaroska and his companion, Debbie Ellis, of Pasadena, Texas, Anne Trottier and her husband, Paul, of Phippsburg, Jim Filaroska of Houston, Texas, Jane Filaroska and her companion, Mohammad Bashir, of Houston, Texas, Nancy Abssi and her companion, Randy Boivin, of Jay and Joseph Filaroska of Farmington; Margaret will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her father, Francis; and her sister, Mary Lou Filaroska.
