AUBURN, Maine (AP) — Congressman Mike Michaud is kicking off his four-day tour visiting manufacturers in Maine.

Michaud begins the tour Monday with stops in Auburn, South Paris and Oxford. Follow-up stops are planned in the days ahead in Winslow, Skowhegan, Presque Isle, Houlton, Oakfield and Hermon.

He wraps up his tour on Thursday with a round-table discussion in Bangor with manufacturers, economic development experts and community leaders.

Michaud is reaching out to companies as part of his “Make it in Maine” initiative to collect ideas on what the federal government should be doing to help manufacturers.
