AUBURN — Jeannine C. Labrie, 64, of 440 Minot Ave., Auburn, died Saturday, Aug. 20, at Clover Manor Health Care Facility, where she resided for the past four years.

She was born in Lewiston, Feb. 27, 1947, a daughter of Robert and Therese Gagnon Labrie. She graduated from Edward Little High School, Class of 1965, and attended Auburn School of Commerce.

Jeannine was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish at Sacred Heart Church and worked at the Sun Journal from 1967 to 1975, then she worked for 30 years in the composing room at the Portland Press Herald until 2005, when her illness forced her to retire.

She enjoyed her family, friends, shopping and dining out.

She will be remembered for always being there for her family whatever the occasion with her camera, especially when we were eating.

Jeannine is survived by her mom and dad of Auburn; her sisters, Suzanne Rutter and husband, Jeffrey, of North Jay and Claire Strickland and husband, Terry, of Old Town; her brother, Donald Labrie and his wife, Terri, of Lavista, Neb.; former brother-in-law, Raymond Morrell and companion, Marilyn Grant, of Livermore; nieces and nephews and their families, Daniel and Jennifer Morrell and Alex and Zack of Farmington, James and Erin Morrell and Ashley and Bailey of Jay, Jonathan and Dorianna Pratt and Liam of Dover, Nicole and Peter Lawrence and Ayla and Emilie of Old Town, Jennifer Labrie of La Vista, Neb., Michael and Erin Morrell and Madelain of Jay, and Heather Labrie of Ralton, Neb.

She was predeceased by a great-niece, Jillian Morrell.
