LIVERMORE FALLS — Police are investigating break-ins at the Livermore Falls Water District office and Group Adams Propane Services, both on Depot Street, early Monday. Both places had been rifled through.

Police officer Steve Gould responded to a burglary alarm at 5:31 a.m. at the Water District to find the building had been entered by force, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said.

It appears nothing was taken, he said.

While police were investigating that case, they noticed a rear door at Group Adams had apparently been kicked open. The two buildings are near each other.

A fly-fishing rod, liquor and an undisclosed amount of cash were taken from the business, Steward said.

In unrelated matters, police are also investigating the theft of a Pack N Play, which is a playpen, from the back of a pickup truck between Friday night and Saturday morning on Otis Street.

They are also looking for a bicycle stolen from the porch of Baldwin Street home that was reported Sunday, he said.
