AUBURN — Temple Shalom Preschool Program is accepting registrations from children of all religions for the 2011-12 school year starting Monday, Aug. 29. Temple Shalom Preschool is a social based program which offers an open classroom environment that is developmentally appropriate, providing free play as well as structured activities and field trips throughout the year. Free, healthy and nutritious snacks are provided daily.
The morning sessions meet Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon. “Flex-time” programming will allow children the option of attending two (Tuesday and Thursday), three (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) or five mornings (Monday-Friday) a week.
Also available is the Extended Hours Program available for three mornings per week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). The Extended Hours Program will begin at 8 a.m. for early drop-off, and conclude at 2 p.m. each day. While our regular program will remain the same from 9 a.m. to noon, the extended hours will allow for lunch (provided by parents), rest time, computer games, outdoor play and table games as a relaxed end to a busy day.
Inquiries and visits to the nursery school are welcome and encouraged. It has been a popular program for children in the greater Lewiston-Auburn area for more than 40 years.
Staff are members of the Maine Roads to Quality program with 30 hours of additional training each year and a combined classroom experience of 35 years.
Temple Shalom Nursery School has a nondenominational enrollment, open to the public and is located at 74 Bradman St. For additional information, call the office at 786-4201 or visit www.templeshalomnurseryschool.com.
