PORTLAND — Marjorie M. Dolan, 68, of Lewiston passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Aug. 18, at Maine Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Auburn, Sept. 27, 1942, a daughter of Lester and Helen (Woodbury) Polley. Marjorie lived in the Lewiston-Auburn area most of her life.

After graduating from Lisbon High School, Class of 1961, she was married and raised her young family. She worked as a housekeeper for several years before retiring in 2005.

In her earlier years, she was a member of The Lisbon Falls Baptist Church. She was an avid doll collector who enjoyed reading, arts and crafts and Bible study.

Marjorie loved going through her pictures of her children, grandchildren and any pictures that would express vibrant life. She also enjoyed all forms of music and had a particular love for country music and Elvis Presley.

Marjorie is survived by three sons, Dana Leavitt and his wife, Bethany, of Portsmouth, R.I., Michael Leavitt and his wife, Sarah, of Mount Vernon and Scott Standfill and his wife, Ashley, of Nevada; two daughters, Diane Neves of Newport, R.I., and Sharon Mitchell and her husband, Paul, of Readfield; 14 grandchildren, Kayla, Derek, Melissa, Nicole, Michael, Justin, Eliza, Ryan, Stephanie, Samantha, Brittany, Coulter, Samuel and Savannah; one great-grandchild, Serena; a brother, Robert Polley of Lisbon; a sister, Jeannette Polley of South Portland; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by an infant son, Brian; and a brother, Thomas Polley.
