MEXICO — The Mexico Police Department responded to 42 calls from Aug. 17 to 24.

Among the incidents since Aug. 17 were:

Accident

• On Aug. 23 at 9:30 a.m. Raymond A. Vaillancourt, 61, of Middle Avenue, Mexico was attempting to merge into traffic from the Mexico Mobil gas station on Main Street in his 1999, 4-door Oldsmobile car. His vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by Bryndi L. Richards, 21, of Bangor, who was traveling east on Main Street in a 1998 Ford passenger car. Vaillancourt complained of neck pain and was cleared at the scene by Med-care Ambulance.

Burglary

• On Aug. 24 at 7:30 a.m. a Roxbury Road resident reported between 9 p.m. on Au. 23 and 6:45 a.m. on Aug. 24 someone forcibly entered their residence. The resident was unaware if anything was taken at that time. Police observed a half moon indentation on the front door knob to the apartment. Sgt. Roy Hodsdon said it looked like the suspect possibly used a crow bar. The neighboring apartment had a similar indentation on the door knob but it was unknown if entry was made.
