OXFORD — A local woman’s death Tuesday has been classified as an accidental drowning, according to the state medical examiner’s office.
Beverly J. Smedberg, 45, was discovered early Tuesday morning in the hot tub at her home in Oxford. Police have not released details on who found her body and where she lived.
Smedberg leaves behind her husband, Peter, and two daughters, Tayla and Jade, an obituary published in Thursday’s Sun Journal said. As an office manager at Speedway Inc., she managed residential and commercial properties. She was described as a proud mother who cheered her daughters on in sports. She enjoyed wally ball, softball, NASCAR and Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
