The Knights of Columbus Council 13181 held the benefit to raise money for its high school scholarship fund, organizer Anthony Leone of Wales said. Fishermen started as early as midnight to compete for $200 in prize money. “The fog was so thick at 4 this morning that you could not see the boats until they were on shore,” Leone said. Prizes were awarded for the largest bass, pike, white perch, yellow perch and the largest fish caught by a child.
