MILFORD — Eric S. Dawes, 39, a resident of Milford, died unexpectedly Sunday, Aug.28, at his home, following a longtime battle with Crohn’s disease.

He was born Nov. 28, 1971, in Lewiston to Lucy Poland and Michael Dunn. Lucy married Robert Dawes in 1975 and they adopted Eric together as their son.

Eric was an avid sports fan and could quote individual team’s and player’s statistics, but his loyalty was to his Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed watching wrestling and Monday Night Smackdown.

Eric played sports for and graduated from Livermore Falls High School Class of 1990. He had a great love for animals and was always on a mission to rescue strays and injured animals. His greatest love was for his own black pug, “McLovin.”

He will be sadly missed by his Mom and Dad, Lucy and Bob Dawes of Milford; his sister, Jennifer Gomm and husband Lance of Old Town; a very special niece, Mykayla Dawes; grandmothers, Arlene Poland and Ruth Dunn; also many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, Michael Dunn; and grandparents, Charles Dunn, Henry Poland and Peg and Wil Dawes.
