ORONO — Evelyn A. Charron, 94, died at Orono on Aug. 25.
Evelyn, predeceased by her husband, Ted, in 1977, is survived by a daughter, Marlene Charron, and son-in-law, Ludlow Hallman, of Bangor; a son, Ted Charron, and daughter-in-law, Marjorie Charron, of New York City; grandsons, Ryland Charronsmith, Joe and Sam Hallman of Bangor and James Hallman of Seoul, Korea; granddaughter, Aurora Charron; great-granddaughter, Selene Baker, of Dorchester, Mass. and a sister, June Shaw, brother-in-law, John Shaw, and nieces, Julie and Janet, of Wyckoff, N.J.
Evelyn was born in Boston and lived in Maine for 64 years, first in East Dixfield, then in Rumford and subsequently in Brewer and Bangor. A world traveler and an extraordinary cook, Evelyn had a wonderful sense of humor and was devoted to her family, her church, and civic and charitable causes.
