The Maine Children’s Cancer Program is one of the only comprehensive cancer treatment centers for children diagnosed with cancer and blood disorders in the state. Located in Scarborough, the clinic consists of 24 health professionals including pediatric oncologists, hematologists, certified pediatric oncology nurses, social workers and research associates.

On average, between 50 and 60 children and adolescents are newly diagnosed each year and begin treatment at MCCP. The Maine Children’s Cancer Program strives not only to cure cancer in as many children as possible, but also to support families through their experience of living with childhood cancer and blood related disorders.

The program relies on community support to provide the best and highest quality care to patients and their families. Funds raised help pay for things these children need like state-of-the-art equipment, psychosocial services and research to help find a cure for childhood cancer.
