OXFORD — Carlton L. Morse, 60, of Oxford, passed away Monday, Aug. 29, at his residence, from complications of heart disease and diabetes.

He was born in Lewiston on Aug. 6, 1951, to William H. and Beulah Barrett Morse. He graduated from Oxford Hills High School in the Class of 1970 and from CMVTI.

He worked for Whitman Oil Co. of Norway, Ripley and Fletcher Co. of South Paris, Lewiston Bottled Gas and just recently for P & K Sand and Gravel.

Carlton’s biggest enjoyment was NASCAR. In the past he had raced at Oxford Plains, where he had won a few races, which he was very proud of.

He is survived by his mother, Beulah Morse; brothers, Michael Morse of Myrtle Beach and Joseph Morse and wife, Peggy; sisters, Judy Martin and husband, Ernie and Beth Scully and husband, Sean; nieces, Valerie Williams and husband, Les, Meredith Asher and husband, Steve, Christina and Meagan; and nephews, Ryan and Colby.

He was predeceased by his father, William Morse.
